LFPhoenix™

LFPhoenix™What is LFPhoenix™?

One of the many reasons that Global Positioning Systems (GPS) have been so successful is that it is constantly evolving to meet provider and user requirements. Similarly, Loran has evolved from -A, -B, -C, and -D variants, and now eLoran. Although eLoran is the very best version available today, we believe it can also evolve. For example, the phase-coding scheme can be optimized for better performance. Alternative waveforms and modulation schemes should be considered to further enhance system performance and the user experience. LFPhoenix™

How Does UrsaNav use LFPhoenix™?

We at UrsaNav have already started studying and testing what the future of Loran may look like. There is no reason that all of the research and development (R&D) associated with positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) cannot be applied to Loran, as it has been done with GPS, to make both systems even better.
