Find Mark this month at the AFCEA NOVA 12th Annual Naval IT Day on Wednesday, May 29, 2013. This year’s event titled, Maintaining Mission Readiness and Increasing Tempo to Secure the Maritime Crossroads, is information packed and a great forum to engage directly with senior technology leaders from across the Navy and Marine Corps.

The soon to open exhibit, TIME and NAVIGATION, will explore how revolutions in timekeeping over three centuries have influenced how we find our way. UrsaNav’s CEO and President, Charles Schue, knows this subject matter well and is excited about the awareness this exhibit will bring to timing and navigation in our communities and our lives. As a past council member of the Institute of Navigation (ION), also one of the exhibit sponsors, Chuck is looking forward to the event and sharing in telling the untold story of getting from here to there. This new exhibition will open to the public at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C., on April 12, 2013.

UrsaNav’s Vice President of Information Management, John Lontos, attended HP’s invite-only Global Partner Conference last week in Las Vegas, NV. One of the big topics of the conference was an increased spotlight on HP Software, a small but rapidly growing component of HP’s product portfolio. George Kadifa, executive vice president and general manager of HP Software, refers to software as the “company’s hidden jewel.”

Joseph Chrisinger, a Senior Director within UrsaNav’s Information Management business unit, has successfully recertified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI).
