CRADA2 Progress Report: New Timing Applications and Data Using eLoran

Our CRADA partnership with the Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology Directorate (S&T), US Coast Guard (USCG), and Harris Corporation continues to yield very good timing data over long distances using eLoran.

We’ve also been testing eLoran in specific timing applications such as Wide Area MultiLateration. This information is available on our website, entitled “CRADA2 Timing Data Updates – January 2017”. The timing results came from multiple locations, including Leesburg, VA; Washington, DC; Boston, MA; Columbus, OH; Ocala, FL; and Bangor, ME. The timing data was gathered during periods from December 2015 through December 2016.

The focus of our CRADA partnership going forward will be for timing in specific application including electric grid applications among others.
