Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS, MDGPS, NDGPS)

UrsaNav has extensive expertise with the Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS). Our personnel have been involved with site construction, conversion, and commissioning of 26 U.S. Coast Guard DGPS and nationwide DGPS (NDGPS) sites, including monitoring and quality assurance (QA) of tower erections. We can provide construction oversight for new DGPS sites including site surveys, civil and electrical work, and installation and certification of all site electronics equipment.

UrsaNav’s expert staff is trained on legacy radio beacon transmitters including: the Southern Avionics (SAC) and modified RCA Ground Wave Emergency Network (GWEN) transmitters. These factory-trained and certified technicians are capable of and available to install and support the Nautel Vector 3000 DGPS transmitter and Antenna Tuning Unit.

Additionally, UrsaNav is adept at installing and commissioning High Accuracy DGPS (HADGPS) sites, as we recently (June 2010) completed the installation for the HADGPS site in Pueblo, CO.
