Pirate Alert & Tracking System (PATS)

A PATS installation provides a relatively low-cost solution to the problem of securing astern access to vessels transiting high-risk shipping lanes. The design and placement of the PATS radar overcomes the shortcomings of a normal commercial surface search radar, providing visibility into the stern radar shadow with a short minimum range and sensitivity appropriate for detection of an approaching small craft.
