Radio Navigation

UsraNav is the leading global supplier of Low Frequency (LF) radio navigation Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) solutions. These include Long Range Navigation (Loran), enhanced Loran (eLoran) and LF Phoenix™ systems. Our turn-key system provider solutions are designed to maximize the accuracy, availability, integrity, and continuity within your desired signal coverage area. We are the exclusive worldwide provider of Nautel LF state-of-the-art transmitters and Symmetricom Loran and eLoran timing and frequency equipment. We combine Nautel and Symmetricom equipment with our OEM equipment to provide the most stable, robust, and cost efficient solution currently available. Our eLoran and LF Phoenix™ systems both add an additional data capability (PNT&D) with data rates as high as 3K Bits-Per-Second (BPS). With the prevalent intentional and unintentional denial of or interference to GPS, you should consider our LF solutions as an Alternate PNT (APNT) source.

PNT Hardware UrsaNav provides receiver technology for the LF PNT market. Customers include those who rely on the Loran and eLoran systems to provide positioning, navigation, and timing independent of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), such as GPS. Along with our receivers, UrsaNav has a team of experts that has worked with LF receiver technology for the past 20 years and has recently incorporated the latest technology through acquisitions of LOCUS, Inc. and Crossrate, Inc. We provide receivers that meet the most demanding performance requirements and product specifications, including a Stratum 1 frequency standard and UTC time recoverability to better than 50 nanoseconds and a positioning and navigation accuracy to within 8 to 20 meters* when GPS is not available.

UrsaNav also provides design, installation, maintenance and support for land based GPS augmentation PNT systems like Differential GPS (DGPS) and High Accuracy DGPS (HADGPS). We can provide state-of-the-art transmitters and antenna tuning units, Reference Stations (RS) and Integrity Monitors (IM), modern DGPS control station systems, and DGPS broadcast antennas.

Marine Gyrocompass & Inertial Navigation Systems

Inertial Navigation Systems - Circuit BoardUrsaNav and Kearfott Corporation have teamed together to design Marine Gyrocompass and Inertial Navigation Systems that utilize three-axis Monolithic Ring Laser Gyroscope (MRLG) technology to provide reliable, accurate heading and attitude reference sources for military and commercial shipboard applications. These systems are designed as competitively priced state-of-the-art, bolt-in-place functional replacements for legacy naval gyrocompasses and inertial navigation systems. They can be configured with NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000, Synchro, Step or Ethernet. Options such as an integral battery system and charger, and/or remote control units are also available.
