Vice President of Low Frequency Engineering
Chris Stout joined UrsaNav in 2008 and is now the Vice President of Low Frequency Engineering, where he is focused on business development and implementation of UrsaNav’s Low Frequency Position, Navigation, Timing, and Data solutions. Chris came to UrsaNav after eight years of program management experience in the federal contract space for clients around the globe.

Chris served as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard, including fulfilling a variety of roles ranging from senior project manager, operations officer, communications officer, and systems engineer. He has been an active Coast Guard Reserve officer since 2000, serving in a variety of command center, military intelligence, deployable operations, and pentagon assignments.

Chris earned his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and later graduated from the University of Michigan with a M.S. in Electrical Engineering. He is a PMI-certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and has published several papers on Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) solutions that highlight UrsaNav’s innovative product offerings.
